RetConnie seeks RePhil

It doesn't seem to me that it would matter if Phil remembers or not. If he doesn't, he'll find Connie even scarier; if he does, he'll have figured out he can't change things anything more that Lawrence or Liz could and watch Connie go nuts trying to avoid seeing how impotent she is in the face of Destiny. This is shaping up to be a trainwreck.

From a practical standpoint, Connie would not be that excited by Phil over her current future husband. Connie's big thing was to bear a daughter, which she talked about even 29 years later. She would have to know Phil and Georgia don't have kids. She would have to know that Ted never has kids. And of course she doesn't have kids with her future husband either.

Her best shot might be to have an affair with John Patterson or Steve Nichols, both of whom she knows have good sperm counts, since they make future kids, and can probably be easily seduced.

On the other hand, Connie may be thinking of unprotected sex with Phil, when he comes over to visit in the reprints. In fact, I was never really sure that Phil and Connie didn't have sex when he came to visit her, considering the way they both act afterwards.

I see your point. It does look like Connie is hoping for another shot at motherhood, husband-be-damned. She knows that Greg is in the cards no matter what so what's another child more or less.

Here's a thought:

What if some of the characters were allowed to change their futures, but others weren't? Say, Liz isn't allowed to change her future but Connie can...and so can ElLynn?

Let's go further: How about some characters get to change their future, but only get to change one thing and must live with the consequences and remembrances of changed destiny? RetConnie gets to marry RePhil (instead of merely being "daytime friends and nighttime lovers," to quote a song from then) and Elly...elly...

Maybe this time she'll leave John, as she seemed to want to do beforehand?

please excuse lack of caps--non-working shift key on laptop rigged up to marine/rv battery, as we are in a powe-outage area. we awoke to no power yesterday [friday] morning and we have no idea how long we'll be without. which really sucks. but luckily i can [finally] be online for a bit. fortunately, i had scheduled this entry to self-post yesterday and have another scheduled for monday. we don't have enough juice to power my desktop computer and scanner, so i hope our outage is over in time for me to get another foobar up for wednesday.

stupid ice storm. ;[
