One moment, the foobs were in a teal-and-lavender monstrosity of a wedding, and the next they were propelled back into the past. But it was a different version of the past. What happened?
It's odd that Elly doesn't see that Emmy looks like an unreasonable jackass; here's Mister Yammerson saying reasonable sensible things she doesn't feel like hearing and all she can do is thought-bubble "Hate." She's almost as blind as Lynn herself.

Yup, as far as Elly is concerned, Emmy is the poor, put-upon victim in this scenario.
The Yammersons and the running joke for the final panel! Yay!
The interesting thing that this strip points out to me is how, in the early days, Anne is like how Connie became later in the strip. She challenges Elly's presumptions about things. The big difference though, is that latter day Connie would just point things out to Elly. Anne would actually do things differently. In yesterday's strip, Anne is making her child's food. In today's strip, while Elly is whining about being bored, there is Anne sewing. That makes Elly look bad, and we can't have that, can we? Hate!

Glad you liked it, howtheduck. And yes, no one is permitted to show up Elly (or Emmy). :)
These Yammerson strips are damn funny! Keep up the good work!
Thanks, Pharmgirl. :)
