(Not)JEEEEEEZUS!!!! Even Elly's brain is pissed off at her!! I mean, Homer doesn't get along with his but it was never this bad.

No brain should have to be Elly's brain. ;)

Well at least this could explain why Elly's body parts looked differently over the years. Maybe her first nose revolted and left her fact, so she had to get the potato nose replacement. Probably about the same time her brain left.

@Howard:

Yeah, I never could understand why cute young Elly got uglier and uglier over the years, not just "older". By the time Lizardbreath was getting hitched at the "ancient age" of young-20-some, Elly had a double chin, a huge potato nose, a hideously unflattering hairstyle, and she looked like a troll -- whereas Lynn Johnston herself looks quite decent at her older-than-Elly age (as do so very many people that age these days).

Frankly, (or "Fredly"? :p) it makes no sense.

Elly takes inspiration from John McCain!

Brilliant. I guess the voice in her head isn't Lynn, though.

This makes more sense than the notion that someone who looked like Young Elly would age into 57-year-old Elly.

I think I missed that one--did he have a conversation with a voice in his head?

Nope--Lynn would never be so gauche as to drop her "g" for "callin'." ;)

April--his big line during the debates was "my friends!" Somewhat inappropriate for a debate format, and he literally said it every other time he talked.

Cedar: I'd forgotten about that. Now that I think of it, maybe he actually was addressing someone in his own head. That would explain it. :)
