Not only that; he was also brought back for poo and pee jokes and to be yelled at by Elly.

Clearly Farley was brought back a year earlier than he was originally published for the purpose of promoting the children's book. As I have noted before, the bulk of the new-run Farley stories have been to show him being abused in some fashion, often with the idea that being a poor pet owner is funny (just as being a poor parent is funny). As usual, your comic strip says all that and makes fun of the Farley question mark thought process also. You are really hitting your stride on this drawn FOOB snark.

True. How can he help but be nostalgic for the games of catch he got to play up on the clouds with Family Circus Ghost Grandpa?

Thanks! My first idea had been to put all the text into Farley's thought bubble, but then, looking at the source strip, it occurred to me that it made sense to use the question mark and translate it. :)

Geez, that was funny, pure and simple.

That's beautiful. It's almost as if he's being yanked back from the afterlife.
