Evasion

Somehow, when I try to use an Elly profile as a reference, I end up with a mutant-looking head, where the top portion of the head is either ridiculously undersized or massively over-sized. After drawing and erasing a few times, I ended up using a profile from Comics Crash Course as a reference, and then overlaying the "Elly" features. I'm still not satisfied with the "Elly" profiles I ended up with, but they're better than they were.

Ah, yes; Elly would do anything to change the subject and Connie knows it. Too bad Elly doesn't know that her attempt to do so will not work. She's not very smart and thus would fall like a ton of bricks for whatever lies Connie told to reassure her.

I ditched a couple of strips where Elly asked "Are you saying something without saying it?" or "Are you accusing me of something?" I ended up getting stuck and it just seemed to me Elly would be more evasive.

I even remembered that glasses have arms, so they don't balance on the nose unassisted. It's insane how often Lynn just leaves those out. And she apparently didn't consider the omission important enough to correct in the collections.

Glasses without arms is still better than all those strips where she just doesn't draw the eyes on a character. How she can possibly expect to tell a story without using the eyes of the characters, I have no idea.

I'll save time by skipping over the eyes in this panel and the mouth in the next. Whew, another deadline met!" ;)
