Oh, crap. Poor Lawrence; he keeps expecting the Pattersons to act like normal people. Too bad for him that they aren't. (Nice riff on Peanuts, by the way.)

Thanks--at first, I was thinking of having Elly giving Mike a stern look. But then the idea of the unseen "Peanuts" adult amused me more. :)

Unseen "Peanuts" adult? And here I thought it was the standard, stereotypical trumpet "Wah Wah" that plays whenever something goes wrong for a character.

In the animated "Peanuts" specials, adults are always represented by an offscreen presence voiced by a horn instrument (I forget which) playing a "wah-WAH, wah-WAH, wah-WAH, WAH!" sound. We only get an idea of what the adult in question is saying based on the child's response--for example, Peppermint Patty saying something like, "I'm sorry, I don't know the answer. No, I didn't do the homework."

Me too! I spent hours practicing trying to make the noise myself. I just couldn't understand how the person on the TV screen could make the noise so much better... ;-)
