Blah Blah Blah

Eeeee! My scanner's now hooked up to my son's computer. I had to install PaintShop Pro because the image-editing software that comes with the scanner just doesn't cut it. BUT! It's a newer version of PSP than what I'm used to. Adding text to the older version was so easy and straightforward. New version? Adding text is incomprehensible! After trying to figure it out and getting frustrated, I ended up using lousy old MS-Paint to add the text. Which is why it's boxed off the way it is. I'll have to work on learning new PSP's text feature.

PSP's limitations aside, you did a fairly good job of summarizing the actual content of Wednesday and Thursday's reprints. What we had was two idiots talking at cross purposes in earshot of two-and-a-half people who know what they're going to say and why before they say it. (Mike is willing himself not to remember so that makes him half a Refoob.)

I agree - those speech bubbles are spot on to what was really going on in the strip.

And the first of Nevuary - brilliant! :)

Thanks, DC2 and anadandy! I liked the idea of pulling the "camera" back and seeing the kids reacting to the everlasting over-coffee gabbery. :)

I like the Pina Colada song reference.

I couldn't resist. I hate that song! (Maybe because I don't like pina coladas or getting caught in the rain, I am into yoga, and I have a whole brain. ;) )

Oh, yeah. THAT song. I hate it for the same reason Dave Barry does; it's about two people who independently decide to cheat on each other and when they find out that they answered each others singles ad, it beings them together. They deserve each other.

Heh--so true, DC2. :)

Heh, yeah, moving the camera around is fun! I like the fact that the kids are bored out of their skulls just sitting around while the adults ignore them and blather away about things that they can't change. It reminds me of the Victorian era where the kids were seen and not heard, unless they were sent back to the nursery to get rid of them after a brief visit. There aren't even any toys lying around either.

What is Nevuary? The "thirteenth" month? It sounds familiar...

Yup, I can easily imagine Elly and Connie being completely oblivious about what the kids are doing (or not doing) during one of their coffee talks. ;)

"Nevuary" I've just heard used as a way of saying something will never happen. :)
