Microwave mixed up with slow cooker. I like it, especially considering the other alternatives were "Elly can't read the words 'slow cooker'" or "Elly is insane."
Love it! I remember John joking to Jean(?) that, he having bought Elly a microwave, Elly could now burn dinner in a fraction of the time. I guess this was before Elly became the gourmet cook whose meals everyone was desperate to eat.

Heh. Come to think of it, it occurs to me that it's possible that Elly mixed up the microwave with the slow cooker, and she can't read the words "slow cooker," and she's insane. ;)

This is one of the developments that bugs me. It was a bit of a running joke that Elly was not a good cook--and then suddenly Lynn decided that she's a wonderful cook and everyone loves her cooking. Ella Sue. 0_o
