One moment, the foobs were in a teal-and-lavender monstrosity of a wedding, and the next they were propelled back into the past. But it was a different version of the past. What happened?
No, it is not wrong of her to hope that; although Elly's disappearance would make April vanish, everyone else's life would be better if Elly weren't in it.
Knowing this would keep her from wishing it too hard. Plus she'd be afraid that Elly wandering off permanently would also mean the loss of any remaining hope that they can get back to their own time.
I work so hard at being a good mum to my daughter, it's not effortless at all. I really envy people like Anne, who enjoy children and can connect to children so easily.
At least I'm aware of it and try. Elly doesn't even do that.

That is a huge difference, Kirsten_B. No parent is perfect. But Elly does not seem to have an inkling that she could be doing anything differently or having a perspective other than "parents vs. kids." Also, I wanted to counteract the strips where Lynn had Christopher misbehaving, with an obvious message of "Anne thinks those techniques she learned from parenting books are so much better than the homespun advice of Saint Marian, but she is wrong, wrong, wrong--Christopher is on his way to a life of crime, I tells ya!" ;)

Ironically, Lizzie gets her wish. In today's strip, Elly comes into the house with her size 12 clothing and Lizzie nowhere in sight.
This is such a sad strip for me!
