Lawrence and Mike... The rest of their conversation
This was a bit of a setback but at least there is an end in sight; six months from now, Elly's stupidity and John's carelessness will spell the emd of this exercise in idiocy and things will be back to normal.
Good references to Lynn Johnston's most recent new-run slams of men's opinions on women, both for the older and younger set of men. As for Early Spring, I will believe it when I see it. Lynn Johnston's record on her retirement predictions, to my knowledge, has never been accurate.

Heh--yes, the October foobletter has given me hope. :)

Good point about Lynn's "retirement" pronouncements, howtheduck. Her inconsistency has been her most consistent trait.
