One moment, the foobs were in a teal-and-lavender monstrosity of a wedding, and the next they were propelled back into the past. But it was a different version of the past. What happened?
Elly should snap back "What about Farley? What about Deanna being back again? What about that kid next door who keeps changing ages? What about your SISTER who is six months old one minute and three years old the next, then back again? You think I have time to worry about who is taking care of your damned dog? Stop advertising that the author of this mess doesn't know what the hell she is doing!"
Well at least you didn't draw Elly's clothes all the way down to her waist, or you would have uncovered those pockets which were not on the new-run dental smock.

howtheduck, I guess you just never know when pockets and left arms will simply disappear! Although the reprint that is likely to appear tomorrow is cropped so that the lower part of the smock does not show, the one after that does show the full length of the smock--and the pockets are gone. Though Lynn might argue that Elly's right arm is blocking the pocket (she's in a 3/4 view with a bent arm), I think we should have at least a partial view of it.
Elly does have a left arm again in tomorrow's probable strip, but it's gone again in the next (Monday?).
So now Elly's looked over her life and seen that she's pretty much forgotten everything that made her happy. Sounds about right, with our foe-fic past having dissected that much of the few years before this was increasingly desperate attempts to catch a husband.
Here's what I'm thinking: If Elly weren't so clueless, her next move would be to look over her past and wonder what the hell happened...and I'd see her asking why she did this in the first place. But Elly now seems to be more about reliving the past than actually making her life better (or, for that matter, more like she wanted it like). All introspection has left her.
Which makes me wonder...is she now suffering from Alzheimers, and is now an old woman stuck in a young woman's body?

Ooh, interesting theory. She is back in the past with her present-day memories and perspectives--including her misremberings. And this fits in with certain theories that we have about LJ's apparent lapses in memory.

Nice how you worked in the "Hum" with Elly's default anhedonia. About the only thing I can think of that Elly does enjoy is feeling sorry for herself.

Yep. :)
Stupid new-run that only exists so that Michael can ask "What about [adopted one year too early] Farley?" Now Lynn's made me out of sync again. >:-(

Heh. Exactly. Noticing all the glitchy stuff is forbidden. ;)

Hum!

I was going to say. :)

Oh my God, this one cracked me up so hard! If you are ever collecting a Greatest Hits of Foobar, this one is in the top five, for sure.
