One moment, the foobs were in a teal-and-lavender monstrosity of a wedding, and the next they were propelled back into the past. But it was a different version of the past. What happened?

We'll see if my gamble pays off...
I may be jumping the gun. I probably am. However, if my gamble pays off, the strip I used as a reference for this Foobar will be reprinted today. If it doesn't pay off, LJ won't get to it until next week. Or worse yet, skip it (but I doubt that--she seems to be leading up to it).
Oh, man! I love this! Not only do we get to see one of Elly's victims call her on her stupidity, we get to see him complain about the real-world explanation for the original strip's shoddy artwork.
Heh--thanks, dc2. I hope the original strip I riffed on appears this week. I guess we'll probably have to see at least one "Michael at school" strip. If I'm unlucky, LJ will skip right to Elly musing on how quiet the house is without Michael. OTOH, since she doesn't mind going out of order, that wouldn't necessarily mean she wouldn't double back and add back the strip in question.
It doesn't look like she is going to reprint this one. However, your strip would fit in perfectly before the strip she did as today. So, once again, FOOBAR fulfills its secondary new-run purpose.
howtheduck, the reason I'm still holding onto some hope that the original still has a chance of running is that it has Michael complaining that his grade-one teacher expects him to WORK. So it can still be fit in after Mike has experienced his first day of grade one/first grade. :)
