Mike gets so upset that in the last panel, he morphs into Moe Howard and loses a stripe from his shirt. :-PIn other news, I will be away Thursday through Saturday, on a work trip. I've already scheduled Friday's strip to self-post, but I won't be able to do a whole lot of commenting. :)

Oh, man; this is bad. Mike has just realized he's becoming the same sort of failure his parents are. That's just another nail in Elly's coffin.
In case he'd rationalized that his parents did it with him and he turned out "just fine"--I think he's rethinking the "just fine" stuff.

Not so much that he's becoming his parents, but that he wants to change it. Just got a reminder of what it was like; sometimes that will cause great change.
