That does summarize how Elly sees the world rather nicely; she doesn't know what to do, won't listen to the advice of others and derides the people that know better. It's a wonder that she hadn't killed one of her flabbergasting offspring smalls.
"Cheque" is one of the words Lynn does spell consistently Canadian. I also love the final panel running joke of "Hate." That summarizes so many For Better or For Worse strips so well, even including today's strip, which doesn't have John in it to provoke her.
dc2, it is a wonder that Michael and Liz make it to adulthood and April to the late teenagerhood she'd reached by the time the curtain fell last year. :)
