Ah....the light dawns. He's starting to figure out why he did some of the crap he did in the first iteration; realizing that Elly is ultimately to blame for the disharmony around her will serve him well after this collapses.

As for the book he's reading, that's pretty funny. "Authorship disputed" indeed.

"Authourship Disputed": sometimes the snark just writes itself, doesn't it?

Just another thought. I do wonder if LynnCo didn't mean m+"ih"+gah, but instead meant m+"eye"+gah (closer to Michael). major fail on translating to plausible phonetic: "Mai-gah" or "Mi-gah" would have made sense.

This would make more sense for a toddler struggling with the name "Michael." But as you suggest, this is poorly transcribed, with unfortunate results.

You are hitting on all cylinders here. The children's book controversy, Lynn's apparent lack of knowledge about the true "N" word, your ongoing storyline about everyone swept in the past, and even an origin point for "Lizardbreath." It just doesn't get any better.

Thanks, howtheduck. LJ seems to have handed me a silver platter o' snark material this week. I'm tempted to send her a thank-you card. ;)
