Dawn’s Bad Haircut

One moment, the foobs were in a teal-and-lavender monstrosity of a wedding, and the next they were propelled back into the past. But it was a different version of the past. What happened?

Oh, that Joe; he's always good for some wordplay! It's clear that he doesn't have much patience with "Emmy" and her lack of focus; perhaps he's operating under the mistaken impression that if she did it all over again, she'd get better at it.
Oh noes. This Yammersons is obviously a new-run, because "24/7" was not used as a common term back in 1981.

LOL--I wondered if anyone would point this out. My excuse is that Elly still retains all of her 2008 memories and lacks the mental discipline to try limiting her usage to expressions that were current in 1981. :)

I suspect he'd know better. OTOH, Joe is Elly's portrayal of John--so one can only imagine her interpretation on that point. ;)
I only see one problem with Elly writing and "drawing" the Yammersons comic is that Elly isn't smart enough to come up with these punchlines!

Ah, but maybe she just lifts them from actual conversations with John, where she things he's being a super-meanie and expects readers would hate Joe right along with poor, put-upon Emmy. ;)
Hehe, nice save! Fitting too, as the new-runs are all pretty much like that. :D
April_Patterson,

That's what I expect is happening; I should think that after Lawrence breaks his leg, she'll HATE being told that it's not her fault he broke his leg as much as it is her fault for not explaining to him that he shouldn't dare Mitchell to do dumb things.
