One moment, the foobs were in a teal-and-lavender monstrosity of a wedding, and the next they were propelled back into the past. But it was a different version of the past. What happened?

Did Michael go back "wrong"?
While you and I know that in the Saturday, 1/10/2009 Foob, Fred the fish mysteriously because Frank, I wouldn't be surprised if this were silently corrected, much like the Crow Crane mishap this past August in the Lizthony wedding arc. But I think a more nefarious explanation is plausible.
Oh, good grief. He's going to grow up to be something awful, all right. The suppressed need to not be the Delicate Genius combined with the need to make history 'right' could make him do any damned thing.
That's true; if Deanna is conscious of the past, it gives her an extra impetus to do what forworse suggests and avoid him at all costs. The man she remembered left her on the fire escape; who knows what this one might do?
Deanna could be somewhat aware, because this time she punched him in the stomach and not the face, when she was called "Fat as a Pianna". Stomach injures don't show. That's tells us she wants him to keep that pretty face this time.

Yup, and since he's not even conscious of his own motivations, that makes things even hairier.

I haven't yet decided what, if anything, Dee is aware of re. their leap back into time. I have to think it through, still. :)
