You probably have a sense of what THAT reading would be like

Wow! Not only did you pan the book, highlight Lynn/Elly's baffling disregard for the safety of her children and show Mike wising up, you even got a dig in at the Kool-Aid Drinkers.

Sometimes those snark possibilities just stack right up. :)

Aww! It's too bad they aren't going to the reading. It would be fun to hear little Michael say, "Why does she hate her editor so much?" or "There wasn't a plunger in the book!"

Never fear--it's possible that Janice Madigan might have the reading imposed upon her and that she might report back to Michael. :)

And you managed to work in Janice Madigan, too -- I hope her soldier dad, the latest in many generations of army men, gets her a BB gun now that she has a target.

Verification word: "bededap". Sounds like Uncle Phil's trumpet.

At least I'm providing a quasi-justification for her having an extended bio, despite being a superfluous character.

Now the verification-bot has caught LJ's love for sound effects.

Hold on...wonderful cartoon, but we're talking about an event happening RIGHT NOW occurring in 1979/80/81. Is Elly's magic falling apart? Or is Francoise's magic making its effect felt (however oddly it may be)?

Elly's magic isn't falling apart--I've shown Fauxley Follows His Schnozz in the strip previously. It happens that a similarly titled book is being sold in our time... Maybe the author[s] and illustrator[s] of that stole the idea. ;)
