Most of her classmates are silhouettes

::sigh:: Okay, so LJ didn't run the strip I expected to see on Saturday, October 24. Here is the strip I had in mind.

Oh, my goodness; Elly's mind is really starting to drift now, isn't it? I should think that when things resolve themselves, April will end up going easy on her 'cause her mind will have completely gone.

In some respects this strip will take on a greater air of tragedy thanks to the new-runs showing how much more Elly enjoyed working at John's office and emphasizing how her desire to work was stymied by her lack of a degree. Elly's sleepy reaction to the teacher, more than anything else, demonstrates exactly why it was that she dropped out of university in the first place.

Yes, I suppose it's quite possible that there will be no other choice.

I agree. (Now, I hope I was right in surmising that the strip I based this on will appear tomorrow. We can't know for sure if it will and, if so, whether the dialogue will remain intact.)
