The Island of Miss Moreau

Since Lynn doesn't seem to be even trying to pretend her new-ruin/old-ruin continuity is in "the modern day," I used a WKRP-era pic of Loni Anderson as my reference photo for Miss Moreau.

My heart bleeds for the idiot; after all, this is Milboring so I think that someone who doesn't look like they send Uncle Jabba a present for Wookiee Life Day every year would stand out.

Heh--you'd think so, but John only recognizes the usual mutants based on variations in their Hoo-Boy teeth. ;)

I presume that if a dentist is treating someone for crossbite, which takes awhile to correct, then that becomes the focus of each visit. Up in Lynn Lake, most likely Dr. Rod Johnston would have done the correction, as I doubt there were any orthodonists available for specialized work. When I did an internet search for cross bite, I found a number of dentists' offices which said that was something they could handle, even though it is typically described as an orthodontic procedure.

Nevertheless, it is funny that John Patterson would worry that he would not be able recognize a person by her teeth, once he corrected her dental issues. It's nice to think that the good doctor wants to remember his patients.

Hmmm. It didn't even occur to me that he'd actually be treating the crossbite! In my mind, this was simply something that he mentioned every time Miss Moreau came in for a cleaning. "Oh, yes, your crossbite! I'd recognize it anywhere! So, how have you been, Miss Moreau?" Now I feel a bit silly. But only a bit. :)
