I know Elly wasn't exactly leaving things to fate when she reconstructed Mike's Stone[d] Season and tried to have it published as her own work--let alone causing the whole time warp. But it's not out-of-character for her to be self-contradictory.
It was baffling enough when LJ chose to do the new-run redraw that appeared on October 7--then she confounded that baffledom today by repeating the strip upon which she based that redraw. Bwuh?
Since Lynn doesn't seem to be even trying to pretend her new-ruin/old-ruin continuity is in "the modern day," I used a WKRP-era pic of Loni Anderson as my reference photo for Miss Moreau.
Mind you, this does not mean they're in our time. It's just pure coincidence that the reading in question and book in question sound so similar to a reading and book we've heard about recently. And the author and illustrator aren't the same author and illustrator, but they have obvious similarities. :)
